The first 2 nights home were miserable joy. If those two words can go together! Probably more miserable for Lindsay since she really didn't sleep! Since then however, Madison has really taken to the idea of sleeping at night! Wednesday she slept for a whole 6 hour span and I thanked Jesus for that!!! Last night she either did the same thing or I am getting really good at sleeping through things! Lindsay is a great Mom who does a great job with her daughter!
Honestly, I could care less about the amount of sleep I get. She is such a joy to have in our life. She is happy and healthy and that is pretty much all I care about!
It is totally weird to think I have a kid. I mean seriously who would in their right mind give me a kid! Especially one that I get to keep!

I didn't know you had a blog for Madison! Great stuff Tom and Lindsay. Allison and I are so happy for you three. And "miserable joy" sums up new parenthood perfectly.
I've loved reading your updates each week. Am I obsessed? I check almost every morning for something new on the blog. I love your first post birth entry Tom....you make me laugh....your personality really comes thru in your writing. And yes, anyone in their right mind would give you a kid that you get to keep....you'll be a great dad to Madison!!!!!
