Yea!!! I had my 20 week ultrasound this morning and it was such a blessing! We are so excited to announce that we are having a boy!! I can't express how relieved I am to have seen his healthy little body moving around and kicking like crazy today! (I confess I had some half-calf coffee this morning, so he was really moving around!! He's an active baby anyway, but today he really gave our technician a workout trying to get pictures of him.) He's measuring 12 oz, and has a strong heart beat! What more could we ask for!?! The doctor literally had nothing bad to say! We are so blessed!

Not only was the ultrasound amazing to see, but the whole experience was wonderful too! We ran into our dear friend Kelly Henshaw (the best neighbor in the world!) on Sunday and she asked if we were taking Maddie with us to the ultrasound. I told her we were and she proceeded to offer for Maddie to come play with her 18 month old daughter Ella (who Maddie LOVES!) instead of taking her along. I can't tell you how amazing that was! Kelly was so sweet to allow Tom and I the opportunity to focus on just this little guy at the ultrasound, and not be distracted by Maddie running around the room.

And, if that wasn't blessing enough... When we got to the Loudoun Imaging Center for the ultrasound, we walked up to the counter to find my friend, and also neighbor, Jenn Reynolds behind the desk! She was the one who was going to be our technician today! It was so fun to have someone we know sharing such great news about our boy with us! I swear, as long as we live in Loudoun County, we are never moving from this neighborhood!! We are too blessed by so many great neighbors and friends and by the location - it's seriously amazing! We would love a bigger house as our family continues to grow, but the beauty is there are many home options to choose from in our neighborhood, so we are set!! :) (Not that we are moving any time soon - we have enough on our plate right now just to clarify.)
So, aside from the rainy, dreary day outside, today has been wonderful! It's been so fun to catch up with family and friends and share our good news! And I am continually reminded of so many reasons to be thankful for what the Lord has given us! Yea for boys!!! :)
